Graphic Designer for Facebook Ads
I played an instrumental role in crafting the message for the Anti Prop 1 (Uber/Lyft) campaign. The team needed a graphic artist to help shift and target Uber as being the "Corporate Bully." After joining the Austin Unites, "Slack" communication channel, I translated different ideas from team members into simple effective posters, that were shared through social media outlets increasing our Facebook Page from 300 to 1200 likes in 3 weeks. My best design, "Uber Lies" was run as a Facebook Ad, generated 173 Shares and 77 comments.
Gina Hinojosa Campaign

Worked with the campaign team to design targeted direct mail, social media ads, and the re-designed the campaign website. The photograph below was taken by me and worked into a major political graphic that was used at every juncture of the campaign, from mail, news, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Gina Hinojosa won Texas HD49 with 57% of the vote, beating a contested field of 6 opponents.

San Marcos TSTA - Salary/Healthcare
Lead organizer/Digital Strategist/communications
Lead for a major healthcare/salary campaign in San Marcos CISD. Using a multitude of organizing tactics through social media and member engagement, the San Marcos Educators Association secured a 5% salary raise and fully paid employee healthcare coverage. The year long campaign was covered by Central Texas media and united the San Marcos community.

Pflugerville TSTA - RESPECT
Digital Director
Digital Director for the Pflugerville Educators Association. Built action oriented website using SquareSpace that has led to over 300 new union members in 3 months. In just 3 months, PEA has had a 200% growth in membership attributed to multiple digital mediums I have helped to install - SquareSpace website cross pollination (Excel, MailChimp Lists, Facebook and Twitter), online membership forms, website, electronic newsletter targeted to specific interests, Facebook Ads, live twitter play-by-play from district board meetings, video ads, and Mailchimp.
Beaumont TSTA - Stop the RIF

Digital Director for the Beaumont Teachers Association during the proposed layoffs of over 300 teachers in 2014. Issued press statements, talking points, live tweeting/facebook updates from BISD meetings, and used Mailchimp to collectively unite union and community members in Beaumont ISD.
Beaumont TSTA -We Are One

Organizing/Communication Director for an issue based campaign in Beaumont ISD. We used digital tools with a 8 field staffers to re-unite/strengthen the Beaumont Teachers association on various issues from healthcare to vouchers. With targeted Mailchimp emails to schools, creative designed flyers with new BTA logo, and Facebook Ads, we signed up over 250 new members in 1 week and collected over 700 signatures for increased education funding. It remains the largest number of new member enrollees in one week the Texas State Teachers Association has ever experienced from a local union
El Paso TSTA - Consultation Campaign
Lead Organizer/Digital Strategist
Worked with a small TSTA core group and volunteers to successfully win exclusive consultation for the El Paso Teachers Association to represent EPSID employees. I was in charge of communications for the campaign, utilizing all forms of social media to GOTV - Facebook, Twitter, Viral YouTube "hit piece" , SMS Notifications. The campaign resulted in a major win over a competing union who outnumbered us 2:1.
